Seattle Bus Crash Tragedy: Survivors Include ACFPs Very Own

On September 24th 2015, tragedy struck as a tour bus fishtailed on Seattle’s Aurora bridge, crashing into two vehicles and an International Student bus – the same International Student bus carrying the children of A Chance for Peace’s Emmanuel Leina’s, Sharon and Victor Leina.

Supporters of Emmanuel followed Sharon and Victor’s journey to the U.S. to attend and international school in Seattle. Gratefully, Sharon and Victor or shaken and achy, but otherwise uninjured. Two passengers are listed in critical condition, including Sharon’s friend Amy. At the time of this posting 4 passengers are confirmed dead.

Emmanuel has been in touch with Sharon and Victor’s host family and I’ve confirmed they are with friends and in good hands. Emmanuel and his wife Lillian are calling for prayers for the victims and survivors of the tragic accident, and Sharon is urging everyone to keep her new friend Amy in their thoughts and prayers for a full recovery.

Updates to follow as they become available.
Classes for Sharon and Victor are due to start this coming Monday.
