We have big plans. Since August approximately 30 people in Kibera have been killed or died as a result of politically-motivated violence, including children. But when A Chance for Peace and our partners at Hope for Kibera look around we see peacemakers of all ages looking for their community. Our goal is to launch a #PeaceMadePublic event in each one of the 5 wards in Kibera, and introduce Kibera residents to a community of peacemakers waiting to connect. In addition, a free public screening of A Chance for Peace lifts local Kenyan peacemakers up where they belong, giving anyone passing by an opportunity to see that peace is not only possible, it’s happening right there in their community. Join in. Free to the public. Volunteers welcome.

We are some lucky dudes. The first person we met during production of A Chance for Peace in Kibera just so happened to belong to a family of peacemakers. Today that family has grown into the community-based organization Hope for Kibera, our proud partners. Together with Hope for Kibera, we gather singers, dancers, and performers representing the diversity of cultures in Kibera, to celebrate the messages of peace that unite them all. The results have been incredible. Even criminals and gang members have come to our events and committed to peace. So… care to join us?

Each peace event costs just $200 USD. Most of our participants and performers are volunteering their time, so all funds raised go toward facilitating the events. Our previous events sponsors have been friends and family. Care to join the ACFP family, yourself? Click below to do so in the click of a button. And thank you so much for your support.
