Our 2nd #PeaceMadePublic Event Was a Huge Success!

I still can’t believe it. With Kenya’s election right around the corner and threats of violence rising, we are actually getting people to come together to commit to peace. I’ve been coordinating with my friends at Hope For Kibera in Kibera slum, Nairobi via Facebook Messenger, and with the generous donation of $180 from my friend Ciiku of Cheza Nami, we were able to bring together hundreds of youth. They arrived not sure if peace was possible, and they all left understanding that it is – and it starts with one.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

Our next film screening is this Thursday. If anyone is interested in donating, please message me. We are aiming even higher this time and need all the help we can get – and a peace event for the price of a pair of jeans can make a HUGE difference to this community.
